Emigrated to America 1831 (six-week voyage to a Canadian port), settled first in New Brunswick until 1838, then came by lake and canal to Miami County, Ohio via Columbus.
Resided a year in Lost Creek township, then bought a farm (later Jacob Bowne's).
Died Feb 12, 1866, aged 58.
Nine children.
