Married Aug 10, 1873 at Perrysville, Ashland county, Ohio.
Flour-mill operator at Rochester, Pandora (Putnam county), then took charge of Bluffton roller mills in fall 1886.
Member G.A.R. Robert Hamilton Post No. 262, K. of P. Bluffton lodge No. 466 (past chancellor), I.O.O.F. Bluffton lodge No. 371.
Presbyterian trustee.
Republican, served two terms on town council.
