Came to America about 1866, married at Bellville, Illinois the following year.
Came to Dubuque, Iowa about 1870.
Founded a general contracting business (first contract St. Joseph's Academy).
Built the insane asylum, school houses and other public/private buildings.
Died July 16, 1908.
Buried Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Nine children.
