Born April 24, 1788 at Middlefield, Conn.
Moved to Lowville, N.Y. in 1798.
Surveyor.
Set out on foot for the West in spring 1810 and arrived in Cleveland, Ohio July 1, 1810.
Married a daughter of Mr. Dean.
Settled at Kelley's Island, Erie County, Ohio.
1852 built the three-story homestead addition famous as 'The Island House.'.
