Andrew Love, Sr.
Born 1 April 1798 in Catskill, Greene Co., N.Y.
Very limited English education.
At age ten bound out to a farmer.
Later worked in a brickyard in Monmouth Co., N.J. Came to Townsend Township, Huron Co., Ohio in fall of 1841.
Cleared several hundred acres and manufactured staves hauled to Milan.
Bought ~50 acres of wildland ~1843.
Removed to Wapello County, Iowa in 1851, returned to Townsend Township 1853, bought adjoining place 1855.
Died 20 July 1869.
Married Eliza Kelsey.
Father of twelve children.
