Started in business on the Ohio River, bought Ben Sowers farm above Ripley, later Spears farm on Eagle Creek, and in 1845 purchased a farm in Sprigg Township.
Died 1888 aged 73.
Wife Betsy nee Cochran.
Children married into Brookover, Dragoo, Evans, Griffith and Clase families.
