In 1817 migrated to the 'Firelands' of Ohio, arriving in Huron county July 12.
Purchased land in the Second section of Greenfield township, residing on Lot No. 22.
Pioneer, man of great industry who acquired large property.
Married Esther, daughter of Capt. Charles Brown of New London, Conn.
Had four children including Harlon E. (deceased) and Charles B. Grandson John N. Simmons later resided on Lot No. 22.
