Removed as a boy to Tennessee, then to Wayne County, Indiana, where he married Mrs. Catherine Bohrer (nee Kearn).
Arrived Dallas County, Iowa June 1, 1856.
Bought 80 acres from John Maulsby in section 19, Linn Township.
Died 1876 aged 72.
Whig then republican.
County supervisor and township offices.
Reared in the Friends church.
