Born in Pennsylvania 1813.
Moved to Ohio ~age 17, then Illinois ~1845, then to Union Township, Floyd County, Iowa in 1856 (farm of 160 acres purchased 1855, ~2.5 mi SE of Marble Rock on the Nashua Road).
Married Ladisa Feller in 1839.
Died Sept. 17, 1861, leaving eight children.
