Came to Missouri 1854, first settled Ray County, then Clay County below Missouri City, then 1904 to place three miles east of Liberty (80 acres), living retired.
First married 1854 in Tennessee to Mary Ann Nees (d.
1883).
Second married Janette Bogart of Ray County.
First-marriage children: William, James (dec.), Creed, Jeanette (m.
Daniel Conley), Martha (m.
Riley Woods), Lee, John, Moses E., George, and one died in infancy.
Second-marriage children: Frona (m.
Dick Parsons), Jane (m.
Gerald Lovi), Ruth, Grover.
