Migrated from Connecticut to New York, Indiana, then Kentucky, where he married Mary Brush (originally Beatty) in 1817.
Same year came to Pike Township.
Among first settlers of the northwestern part of the township.
Died 1860 at age 75, buried near New Harmony.
First three children were residents.
