What the record says
Among the earlier settlers, came to Pike Township in 1818.
Taught school the first year on the Allen farm.
Native of North Carolina, married 1822 to Nancy Fisher (OCR 'Fisoos').
Settled on farm later owned by Elizabeth Strain.
Died 1837, interred in old Allen Graveyard.
Had nine children, all living at time of writing, five residents of the township.
