Native of county Antrim, Ireland, born 1768.
Came to America about 1784, located near McConnellstown, Pa.
Married Mary McKee 1790.
Came to Ohio 1799 with wife and three children, settling at Cincinnati (then Fort Washington), traveling down the Ohio River in two flat boats he built.
Made brick in Cincinnati (built the first brick house there).
Removed to Butler County 1803 near Middletown, engaged in farming, milling and distilling, shipping produce to New Orleans.
Died 1828.
