Severely wounded at Chickamauga, GA, Sept 20, 1863.
Served on Sherman's march to the sea.
Taught school and farmed in Union County, then removed to Delaware, Ohio in 1874, studied law in office of Reid and Powell, admitted to Bar 1876.
