First mayor of New Washington, in office at his death Sept. 23, 1876.

Wife died Sept. 28, 1900.
Eight children (Maria, Franklin P., and Caroline deceased at time of writing).
After his death the business (later 'Kibler Brothers') was managed with his widow as partner until she sold her interest to son John Wesley in 1881.
