Judge John McLean, born Bedford County, PA, 1809.
Son of a farmer.
Went to Richland County, Ohio, in 1833 to work as a farm hand near Mansfield.
Married Mary Cobean in 1837 and moved to Goshen township, Allen (now Auglaize) county.
Entered 160 acres in section 6, Goshen township, Nov. 16, 1836.
Elected associate judge of the county.
Died May 5, 1875.
