Later ran a sawmill at Tuscola village, Tuscola County, Michigan (from 1851).
Died Sept. 3, 1885, buried at Bristol, Ind.
First a Lutheran, then Evangelical Association, then M.E. Church (Flat Rock, 1850).
Politics Whig, then Republican, then Prohibitionist.
Son Reuben A. lived in Wisconsin (pine-land hunter).
Son Wesley had gold-mine interests near Idaho Springs, Colo.
Daughter Sarah (deceased) was wife of Dr. Samuel H. Burgner of Bellevue, Ohio.
Daughter Hannah was wife of Morgan Sterner of Bristol, Ind.
Another daughter was Mrs. J. Burgner, near Fremont, Ohio.
Hannah Griswold was a second wife who also had children by her former husband.
