Came to Iowa 1850, settling on section 27, Cass township, Boone County.
Farmer and stock-raiser.
First justice of the peace in Cass township, performed first marriage ceremony in that part of the county.
Enlisted 1865 in Thirteenth Iowa Regiment and died in service at Newbern, NC.
Married Rachel Bennett in Ohio Sept 2, 1842.
Ten children.
