Born July 12, 1861 in Iowa, third of six children of J. M. Pendroy (native of Indiana) and Sarah (Baldwin) Pendroy (born in Ohio).
Reared on an Iowa farm.
At age 22 moved with family to the Mouse River country of North Dakota, locating in fall 1882 about 25 miles from Towner.
Farmer and stock raiser, then moved to Towner (McHenry county) in 1892.
Opened a meat market July 9, 1894, later adding general merchandise.
Republican, Mason, Modern Woodmen of America.
Also appears in text as 'Levi U. Pendroy.'.
