Commissioned Surgeon May 1865, then Brigade Surgeon under Gen. George P. Buell.
Wounded in the head by shell fragment near Atlanta 12 Aug 1864.
Mustered out at Camp Dennison, Ohio, 25 July 1865.
Located in Bentonville, Adams county, Ohio, Oct 1865.
Opened an office in Manchester in 1873.
Member of Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges, Odd Fellows, and George Collings Post No. 432 G.A.R. One of a family of eight sons and two daughters.
