Emigrated 1843 to Noxubee County, Miss., where he opened a plantation, raised cotton shipped down the Tombigbee to Mobile, and distilled peach brandy.
Converted to Mormonism.
Left the Creek Nation in Mississippi March 1845, went to Nauvoo, then Winter Quarters (Florence), and crossed the plains to Salt Lake in 1847.
