Native of Sweden.
Came to America with his parents.
Farmed in Grant township, Boone County, then engaged in lumber, live-stock and grain business at Pilot Mound for about twenty years.
Later removed to Minneapolis, then returned to a farm near Boone where he died March 29, 1912.
Married Josephine Chingren.
