Raised on a farm.
Brought to Jackson County by his parents in 1832, settling on sec.
3, Hanover twp.
P.O. Horton.
Married Jan. 1, 1846 to Laura J. Stone, daughter of Nathan H. and Julia A. (Fenn) Stone, natives of Vermont.
Elected Township Treasurer 1851.
Appointed 1856 to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Andrew Brown.
Democrat.
