Hon. Ashley Whitney, prominent and liberal supporter of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the Maumee Valley near what is now Toledo, Ohio.
Died 1873.
His wife Frances Maria Whitney was class leader of the first Methodist class at Ten Mile Creek (Tremainesville) formed 1825.
Son Ashley Jr. noted as the one surviving family member.
