Settled on section 35, Wayne County, Iowa in 1864.
Three marriages: (1) Nancy Murphy, who died fifteen months after marriage.
(2) Margaret Stites, four children incl.
Thomas of Allerton, Mrs. Annie Grismore of Allerton, and two deceased incl.
Mrs. Evaline Bracewell (left five children).
(3) Mrs. Lucinda Rucker, a widow, two children Mrs. Adda Dick and Manderville Woodmansee (runs the 230-acre home farm on section 35).
