The former was a soldier in the war of 1812. They were both, for many years previous to their death, consistent members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Their occupation was farming. Their home is about seven miles south of Bucjrus, in Whetstone Township, where they reside in peace and happiness, enjoying the fruits of their early industry and labors.
