Mr. Cassed lived owns 160 acres of land, which is in a high state of cultivation and well improved; he is a modest and unassuming gentleman, with no desire whatever for notoriety, and has never been an aspirant for the empty bauble of local office. To the Mason Horse Rangers he has belonged since the organization of the society, and is a Republican in politics.
