Came to America with parents in 1878, settled in Kossuth County, Iowa.
Farmer and stock raiser.
Moved to Otter Tail County, Minnesota in 1903.
Took charge of his father-in-law's farm in Western township in 1905.
Bought a 210-acre farm in 1911 and moved there spring 1915.
Raised Guernsey cattle and Chester White hogs.
Brother Elmer.
