Returned to Maine 1836, married Susan B. Maxfield, returned to Illinois.
Land partnership with relative Pat Pease ended in bankruptcy.
Taught school on crutches after an accident.
Pastor in Fulton County, Illinois 1832.
Bought 100-acre farm in Fulton County.
Relinquished ministry at age 70 and followed his children to Iowa, buying a farm near Washington.
Died October 1890 at age 87.
