Later retired to Festina, aged 91 when written.
Twice married.
First wife died while son John was a child.
Children of first marriage: John G. (John C.) and Henry (deceased).
Second wife Agnes Tettman died 14 February 1910.
Their children: Joseph, Bernard, Frank (deceased).
